The Amalfi Coast is yet another Italian destination popular with honeymooners from around the world for its balmy Mediterranean climate and spectacular views of the sea. The Amalfi Coast refers a stretch of coastline in southern Italy where the Duchy of Amalfi existed during the 10th-11th centuries and hence got its present name. While the Amalfi Coast is spread out over thirteen municipalities, in recent times the town of Positano has become a favorite of couples looking for a picturesque locale in which to romance each other. The hillsides of the Italian region of Tuscany is famous for its vineyards and olive orchards which can make the perfect setting for romance, something the film Under the Tuscan Sun portrayed so well. Thus for your honeymoon you and your partner can book a wine tour through this region or better still stay for a few days in a chateau or villa in a Tuscan village. At the end of your stay be sure to raise a toast to your new life with any of the signature Tuscan wines like the Chianti and Chianti Classico or the much sweeter Vin Santo as a way of creating happy memories.
