Does Olive Leaf Extract Help Cure Herpes?

Olive leaf extract is a known remedy for herpes and many other viruses. It contains a biological compound called oleurpein that lies in olive leaves and is built up to protect the plant from parasites. Many people can see that herpes outbreaks appear when we are stressed, and this is because our immune system suddenly changes and becomes an easy target for disease. Thus, latent herpes virus strains are activated and herpes flares up. It is thought that oleurpein is capable of boosting the immune system and help fighting the infection, or at the very least, keeping it restrained. Olive leaf extract is not proven to cure herpes permanently but it is useful to prevent major outbreaks.
