What Happens With Untreated Chlamydia?
Chlamydia is always painful and cause serious health problems when you don’t get the treatment in time. Since the disease can go without symptoms is important to check regularly if you had unprotected sex with an unknown male or female partner. In women, untreated Chlamydia can affect the reproductive system spreading to the uterus and fallopian tubes. This will cause permanent damage to those organs, putting at risk your capacity to procreate, leading to difficulty conceiving, infertility, or possible fatal ectopic pregnancy (one that occurs outside of the womb). In men untreated Chlamydia experience fever and pain because the infection spreads to the tube that carries sperm from the testicles. However, Chlamydia generally won't impact a man's ability to have children.
