What Is the Window for a Chlamydia Test?

A window test period is the amount of time before a test will show positive. This is different from the incubation period which is the time that goes between being exposed to the infection and the start of the first symptoms. Each sexually transmitted disease has its own window and incubation periods and it is important to make sure you match the window test period for the disease you are getting tested for. For Chlamydia urine test you could have a possible positive detection within the first week after being exposed; for a very likely detection is best to wait 2 weeks; and the highest likelihood of positive detection is given at 4 weeks.
