How Long Does It Take for Gonorrhea to Show?
The time between the original exposure to the gonorrhea bacterium and the appearance of the first symptoms, or the incubation period, is on average between 2 to 5 days. Some patients take as long as 30 days to develop any type of symptom. It is important to note that a gonorrhea infection might remain asymptomatic until the bacterium has spread to other parts of the body and sometimes will remain so indefinitely. If you suspect that you have come into contact with the gonorrhea bacterium it is extremely important that you get tested. If treated early in the infection phase gonorrhea is complete curable and will not leave any permanent damage to your organism.
