Can You Cure Gonorrhea with Homeopathy?

Homeopathy is based on the claim that a substance that causes symptoms in a healthy individual will cure similar symptoms of a sick individual. Large scale studies have shown time and time again that homeopathy is no more effective in curing diseases than a placebo. It is highly unlikely that homeopathic treatments will be able to cure and eradicate the bacterium that causes gonorrheal infections is individuals. Gonorrhea is a serious and highly contagious disease that is curable with a simple antibiotic treatment. A course of antibiotics is still the only recommended treatment for gonorrhea. However recent emerging trends of antibiotic resistance may spur further research into alternative treatments.
